The Voice of Wisconsin waterfowlers<\/h3>\n

<\/span>Wisconsin\u2019s Aldo Leopold came to his \u201cland ethic\u201d philosophy though his hunting roots.\u00a0 <\/span>And today\u2019s hunter-conservationists embrace this ethic through their financial and voluntary support of conservation efforts.\u00a0\u00a0But with fewer hunters today, policy makers sometimes need reminding that hunters have consistently put their money and energy where their conservation heart is.\u00a0<\/p>\n

WWA is the voice of state waterfowlers for conservation, wetland policies and hunting impacts from legislation or policy.<\/p>\n

Waterfowl Management policy: WWA sits on WDNR public policy-making committees to ensure our collective voice is respected when establishing waterfowl seasons and prioritizing the use of waterfowler-generated funding.<\/p>\n

State and federal hunting or conservation issues: WWA is a leader in other policy issues connected to waterfowling, such as state conservation funding, wetland regulations, DNR management issues, and hunting rights topics, among others. \u00a0 <\/span>As a registered lobbyist, WWA\u2019s executive director works in Madison with volunteers and other organizations to elevate WWA member interests.<\/p>\n

Local conservation decisions can also impact the waterfowlers. WWA selectively engages local policy makers on topics that matter to members across the state.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
